The following shows the improvements of the new TH-D7 (G) upgrade. This upgrade costs $60 and requires your radio to be sent to Kenwood in CA or VA for the upgrade. See THD7A(G).pdf for Kenwoods new updated PDF version of this document! The old MCP-D7 software is not compatible with the (G) version. (here is the new beta version MD7G10.exe) It is not compatible with non (G) models, but will work with *.d7 files. Check LINK700 for an upcomming revision that will work with the TH-D7(G) soon.
